Hello Friends,
This month we are entering into a
season of vision at FBC as we learn together what it looks like to live our lives with focus. Last Sunday we learned about the importance of prayer when it comes to vision, and we are launching into this season with an increased focus on prayer. Below is a prayer guide that was distributed on Sunday, that we would love for you to take advantage of through the rest of this month. Please join us in praying the below prayers (and more!) as we seek Gods vision for Faith together.
Prayers for Receptivity in Our Hearts:
Pray:
• That God will open the hearts of our congregation up to His vision for our church.
• That God will put our congregation in a posture of receptivity to the work that He wants to do in us during this season.
• That God would challenge and confront our apathy concerning His vision for our church.
• That God would grow our faith in this season of seeking His vision.
Prayers for our Congregation:
Pray:
• That God would use this season of seeking His vision for us to allow us to experience greater unity than we ever have before.
• That God would use this season of seeking His vision to inspire and refresh us for the work that lies ahead.
• That God would use this season of seeking His vision to develop a great passion for reaching the lost inside our hearts.
Prayers for Leadership:
Pray:
• That the Senior Leadership Board would be given discernment from God as they pull together the feedback of the congregation into a vision statement in the months ahead.
• That God would lay specific words, phrases, and sentences that best encompass His vision and the congregation’s feedback on the hearts of the Senior Leadership Board throughout this process.
• That Pastor Grant would listen, learn, love, and lead well through this season of vision and be attuned to the voice of God throughout.
Prayers for the Future:
Pray:
• That God would use this vision season to allow us to craft a Vision Statement that guides us well for years and years into the future.
• That our vision statement would be one which leads us into a season of great prosperity and fruitfulness.
• That our congregation would be attuned to the future dreams of God for our church and be given hearts big enough and bold enough to receive that vision.
